3-Day Plan Overview

Day-by-Day Detailed Plan
Day 1: Arrival & Temple immersion
Check in at your hotel, settle in, and visit the great Arunachaleswarar Temple. Walk through the 5 prakarams and witness the evening Sayarakshai puja. Later, visit Seshadri Swamigal Ashram and Ramanasramam on Chengam Road.
Day 2: Circumambulation & Mountain Hermitages
Dedicate this day to Mount Arunachala itself. Start Girivalam early at dawn. In the afternoon, ascend the stone-carved steps to Virupaksha Cave and Skandashramam for quiet meditation above the town.
Day 3: Day Trip to Gingee Fort & Leisure
Take a scenic 45-minute drive east to the majestic 13th-century Gingee Fort. Explore Rajagiri citadel’s Kalyan Mahal and steep stone granaries. Return in the afternoon to relax amidst the garden surroundings of your resort before departure.
